elves who created chaos COMPLETELY ON ACCIDENT HAVING TOO MUCH RAPESEX, and rape elves who definitely are glad it happened.
they're fun armies with a lot of tactical options, so gw made them unplayable lorewise.
and the Elves who survived now rely on Craftworlds and pretty much just try to survive.
their dark cousins do all kinds of shenanigans. i love both of them. very tactical armies indeed.
but lorewise they are very chaotic. six books is all i have read about them so far.
eldar farseers are almost always in a near-psychotic daze induced by Tzeensch which forces them to enact and support Chaos.
their best light is that they tend to direct that drive towards the aspects of the Imperium which are dysfunctional. most likely due to the emperor carving a path for them to do so.
just a garbage faction GW obviously hates.
First founding? ultramarines or emperor's fist chapters
second founding? idk, but definitely would be using as many primaris and terminators as rules allowed =p
just a recruiting pool for Chaos tbh. might as well say "I wanna be a guardsman who dies to artillery in their first deployment, like 20% of all guardsmen do!"
at least orks can imagine their fungal offspring will continue their legacy of smashin' and bashin'.
tau: cool battle suits, GW made them nazis because battlesuits are too cool.
minor factions: barely even relevant, spotty support from edition to edition.
I don't remember or care about other factions. nids? might as well be a whole faction of beastmen instead. they keep marketing them to the same groups, and they keep nerfing them at the same times. so why pretend?
They made Orks English on purpose, and they made them the only vaguely-acceptable faction as well. I like Orks, but why are the other factions there if this is the way that it is?
although their society post the Fall, consists of pure order. the way Aeldari think makes them having to focus on something their entire life. Farseers for that matter may reach levels of precognition at the higher ranks. could be Tzeentchian influence though but i wouldn't really say that they enact chaotic or support Chaos, the exact opposite. specially the Exodites. Dark Eldar (or Drukhari as Matt Ward decided lol) do support Chaos but on their own way, don't forget She-Who-Thirsts. but yes GW definitely hates them, to that i would agree wholeheartedly.
