The Post Harris/Walz 2024 thread
"Somehow Palpatine returned"

For 'reasons,' maga republicans chose to write the next chapter of american political history by aping the plot device of the worst of the Star Wars films.

*Donald Trump is a convicted felon and adjudicated rapist.

Kamala was right about Russian trolls all along
https://politicalhumor.substack.com/p/kamala-was-right-about-russian-trolls

Explains much of OT as well.

Thank you for posting this. When you see a Russian troll spread lies about Kamala, we have to do something!

The best thing you can do is ignore them and pretend they don't exist.

Presidential? I think you mean King...remember Trump was elected via a Primary the way a President normally is. Democrat voters didn't have that option. They were told by the delegate elites that the common man isn't to be trusted with selecting a candidate to run against Trump, one must be selected by the elite.

Vivek called it over a year before it happened...most of the Republicans knew Democrat voters weren't going to have Joe Biden honestly run in 2024.
To be fair. It's pretty common not to host primary elections for your party if the incumbent nominee is the President currently in office. If Republicans had an issue with this practice. Then why did they do it in 2020 when Trump was President?

Or is this one of those "rules for thee, not for me" again?
Except that's not what happened here is it? And Joe Biden isn't running for President anymore is he? And to top it all off remember Democrats fought to keep other Democrats off the original primary ballot. Very shameful.

Excellent advice. Currently, I am doing exactly that.

What policies do you Kamala supporters like? Will they benefit American citizens?
It's not so much that I really like her policies as that they're better than the complete economic insanity Trump is proposing. Running on a platform of making everything drastically more expensive probably isn't the best plan at the moment.

Basically I'm happy with roughly the status quo because I don't buy into the absurd fear mongering about how some person doesn't have a job and some immigrant committed a crime once that isn't actually supported by statistics.

She is presidential in her own right, but on another level when put next to Trump.

What are you talking about?

Dictator Trump tried to do an actual coup d'etat. Remember that?

Motte & Bailey. You originally protested "Trump got elected via Primary the way a President normally is". Except, that is no longer defensible and just wrong when factoring in the 2020 election where the roles were reversed and he was the incumbent. No one ran against him. Where were their options?

Now you're retreating to a different talking point. Not holding a primary vote is no longer the issue. Seems it never was an issue with you. Instead, it's apparently only immoral now because the vice president had to take over Biden's campaign due to him being senile. When only Joe Biden had the right to do it? But that's kind of why VPs exist in the first place. Legally the VP could take over the Biden campaign and use it's funds. And polling wise shows far more Dems wanted this over Sleepy Joe. But apparently the DNC forgot to ask for consent from you, the person not voting for them specifically?

That's a left-wing fantasy, but even if it were true...note your word "tried"

Kamala sucecssfully pulled off a coup....poor Joe Biden.

Ehh, not to side with Trump supporters but this is technically inaccurate. Bill Weld ran against him in 2020 and got 1 delegate.

Of course realistically Bill Weld never had a chance since he's an American first and a Republican second in a party where you currently have to be the other way around...

Even supposing this were true I'm a lot more concerned about governmental coups over organizational ones, like the Trump family seizing complete control of the RNC so that it specifically funded him and his legal bills before he actually won the primary.
Trump just used Kamala Harris own words for a campaign ad.

I'm a centrist. I go with the party that I feel has its crap together.

Trump was likely to win when Biden was the opponent. But now, he's got no chance unless he cheats. The rally around Harris is huge. Women, young people, and undecided voters are going to be attracted to her energy and interest in bringing people together. Even as a guy in the middle, her positivity is very refreshing to me.

All of that Haterade and negativity you Trump loyalists run on is tasting mighty bitter these days. It's draining.
Tim Walz is under fire for aggressively pulling the arm of his mentally handicapped son during the DNC.

I tell you his son cheering his Dad on was kind of cute video, it' was touching to see a son care about his father like that...but this clip doesn't look good.
