Ah, you're right! I must've conflated a couple of Biden's speeches. He repeats himself so often and he hates the military so much, I figured he must've done it here too.

The recent Normandy one is when he refused to shake the hand of the veteran and Macron had to sub in. Which I'm sure has happened before too.

I was reading the news this morning and I think it was HuffPo (fake-news) that claimed conservatives are having a mind melting contradiction in what they support. And the claim was that we both support Trump becoming more popular because of his jailing and we think it's something that deserves retribution. And it struck me as mind-boggling stupid. Can Seth Myyers really be that dumb?

I think of it like Joe Biden and Trump are both in a swimming pool. And Biden's over at the Kiddy Pool section started to go into that crouching mode and he's seen crapping in the pool.

Now as a Trump Supporter Biden crapping in the pool is great because it will make Trump more popular. But he's also crapping in the swimming pool which will need to be drained and cleaned. One can both support the action of Biden flushing his chances down the toilet and dislike the damage he's causing at the same time.
