Valve warns people to stop inhaling from Steam Deck exhaust vent
Well I never.... I guess social media makes kids do silly things but this is another kind stupid. I guess it's not as bad as eating them tide pods but still.

"In one of the stranger tech stories of recent times, Steam Deck manufacturer Valve has urged people to stop inhaling fumes that may be emitted from the exhaust vent on the machine.

The act has become a meme in recent weeks as the Steam Deck is prone to emit a particular smell from its innards and inhaling from the vent has become a popular pastime for some on social media."

When I was a kid, I was eating my boogers, trying to fart the loudest and playing in mud. Kids today are more adventurous... can't fart anymore as it damages the climate so I jump in front of a car instead. Crazy times we live in.

Ah yes, forbidden air.

In all seriousness why? Valve made it and they are telling this now?

Makes you question if a person should even purchase or use a product if it's producing fumes or co2 to bring up warnings regardless if there was direct inhalation.

It's just the smell of electrical components being blown out, my nintendo switch is the same as is my PC and consoles. But for what ever reason, some users are sucking in the air that is being expelled from the steam deck for fun, which I find odd.

Because for what ever reason as a society, we have lost common sense. We have warning labels on packets of peanuts warning us that this packet may contain nuts.... this is how stupid we have become.

Removing yourself from the gene pool by your own stupidity is natural selection working at its finest.
