Guys that say have a lovely day
A guy on his way out of the door at my work today told me "Have a lovely day".

I was weirded out by what he said because it's a feminine line used by women.

I've only heard "see ya buddy" and "have a good day" which sounds right and appropriate.

Thoughts?

The fact that you're that bothered by it that you thought about it all the way until you got home from work to post a thread about it says way more about you than it does about the guy saying it. That's my thoughts.
Understandable, have a nice day.

This pretty much, you're reading way to deep into it.

Did your heart start beating faster and faster when he said that?

there is a video of a guy working at a gas station who gave out flowers to his customers

male and female

the males mostly got pissed

one lady was in tears she was so happy to get it

it is weird/sad how deep these things have become ingrained in guys

Seems a bit fragile to be bothered so much by something so inconsequential...

No. I was deeply puzzled by that.

It really came as a shock for me WTF because i've literally never heard any man that says "Have a lovely day".

That;s normal.

The word we are looking here is "lovely".

Have you considered the possibility you might be overthinking this?

Lovely is an effeminate term so I want to know why out of all the words he could've chosen, he came up with lovely?

I wasn't aware lovely is now an effeminate word and that it's inappropriate for men to use it.

But even if it was, why does it matter? Men aren't allowed to say effeminate words?
Did you say "thanks babe"?

Yes, it seems he has no self awareness and who he's talking to. I am not a friend or live in the inner city.

There was a slight delay because I was puzzled by it then I said "you too".

Afterward, I was thinking about what was that.
