What do young people not do that the old(er) generations still do?
Young people don't do the things that old(er) people once did in the past.

1. Read the newspaper, and magazines.
2. Mail letters via the mailbox.
3. Go inside the actual bank to deposit, or take out money.
4. Watch regular television.
5. Go to the mall to shop for items.

I think old(er) people are the only ones keeping these activities alive. Man, when they pass I predict the post office, and newspaper will go away. Maybe the post office will transition to packages like UPS? But, all that I've listed will be long gone probably in 20- 50 years. Are there any others that I might have missed?

Amazon wasn't around in the 80s and 90s and we had to buy every thing from malls or department stores.

Yeah I know, I'd go to the mall for cheap video games. Or we'd go to fleamarkets
Also it was a place to hang out at the malls on friday nights trying to pick up women.

GPS doesn't work where I live so maps are still in style.

Why would you pick up women? They can walk, they have legs. Exercise is good for people.

Not that kind of picking up.

What is the meaning of pick up girls?
(informal) to start talking to somebody you do not know because you want to have a sexual relationship with them. He goes to clubs to pick up girls.

1. Outdated biased news
2. The USPS sucks
3. I actually do this one. I guess it's more convenient to do it through the phone though.
4. Television sucks now
5. Malls are almost extinct where I live and they are mostly full of low-quality garbage products.

Oh I have another one: Writing. Many don't like writing at all and prefer to type whenever possible. Also on that note, I doubt many of them know cursive.

Engage with other people "in real life," physically, in person, like... "right there."

"What website do I need to go to in order to make friends" <-- Generic "young person" question endemic in young-person social media.

For the stuff you posted that young people don't do, you could have just stated that "young people use their smartphones for everything that they're possible to be used for" and that would have summed it up pretty well.
Read paperback books, currently wrapping up Lord of Flies, interesting book!

Why read newspapers when you can read stuff online? And you’re killing trees.
Trees are grown specifically for making paper. They get replanted only to be cut down again after a specific amount of time. For one mill, they got trees that were about 20 years old. Nothing of a tree is wasted while making paper.

Try refolding a map now that is a challenge.
I can refold maps. I use the same technique to folding my tarps.
Rewind a video or try to find one song on a cassette hahaha modern kids have no idea

I watched Fast Times at Ridgemont High, and the beginning mall scene brought back some memories. The girls. The food court. The movie theater.
Colonostomy bags
I still watch "regular TV".

And especially shopping in person, lots of people still do, young or old. Not everything has to be bought online, and there are many many advantages in buying in person if you can - no need to schedule deliveries or pick up somewhere else, safety, etc.

Older people were once young and into things that old people in their generation were not into.

That is the cycle of life for you.

New things tend to be embraced by younger people more readily.
