Possible, but improbable, unfortunately. Geographic sorting exists and separates such types of people. The emo is probably in the burbs.city, whereas the cowboy is probably rural/semi-rural. Due to their lifestyles, they are very unlikely to cross paths.

Emo girls are too busy moping around about their daddy issues and complaining about how nobody loves them to notice the affections of a cowboy.

It would probably be pretty rare for quite a few reasons. Most cowboys are farmers or ranchers, so when they're not working their 9-to-5 job, they are busy on the homestead. Most are religious. Most stand for old-fashioned values. Those are things that, no offense, for the most part, don't usually apply to people who dress and act emo. Also, nihilism just isn't attractive.

I remember the emo and screamo fad, and looking back in retrospect, just like with each new generation, there was a lot of self-entitlement and whining. Technological advancements, robotics, and machinery have taken over so much that people just don't possess the same work ethic as they used to, so they are able to sit around and become more and more selfish. We can see that by looking back to what I perceive as the last decent era, the 1950s, and comparing it to each subsequent generation that came after, life as we know it has been slowly swirling like soiled water down the toilet. Kids and teens would not dare act the way that many act today.
