this legit just makes sense. you have full legal rights at 21. a president term max is 8 years so you can end at 29 and i think some terms are 9?


this is the so called "new gen" starting up. these people are in collage and working in good jobs by now. they understand the laws and should by this age.


i am done with having the world be run by old people who are retired or never worked a day in their lives.

i love the idea of 9 years max of any position. after all the people vote on stuff anyways so it really would not matter having younger people.



i fear having my life in the hands of old people who technically don't live in our world anymore scare me. they don't understand the current economic state and understand of the world.

these people are legit hella old, 60-80 years ago was a different world. these people could throw the world off the solar system and not care since they can die the next day.


these people are legit falling and tripping on air and having bad health problems.


say all you want but young people would actually care more about everyone's future since they will be the ones living it.


i am 23 and feel like i could be doing so much better than a old dude on his deathbed on so many medications idk if he is even there in his head.


after all why would i make any mistakes as a young person? if i mess something up i mess up my life in a way so its so risk or i make less mistakes.




this is just me tbh, i just hate i lack any power in change since there is legit people set for life in office and my life is legit on them and i can't control it. if they make a mistake cause they don't understand how the world is now we all dead.

And that's after wasting how much of our countries money on not only Ukraine military but propping up Ukraine's economy....I wonder how much of our tax-payer money in Ukraine is now in Russia's hands?

And hard disagree that politics is useless...case in point the above fact if Trump were President so much of the bad stuff like leaving behind 85 billion dollars in military equipment in Afghanistan , blowing up the Nordstream Pipeline, and things like the Ukraine War would never have happened.

Consider something like climate change policy, which is something that younger generations are easily manipulated with...they dont' have the lived experience of someone who has experienced several end of the world events like Y2k or Al's Gore's failed predictions of a doomed planet.

And so they'll support candidates that push policy that make impacts everything from the price of groceries...the price of gas....the housing market including rent being so high...it impacts all sorts of things....look at Maui they had water to fight fires denied to them because the climate change person in control of the water thought hoarding water for a future climate emergency was more important then peoples homes/lives.

As a christian, with traditional values I am glad there excists an older generation that is much more sane than the young ones of both my own and younger ages.

Also as a mayority of young ones is not of the native population of my nation any chance we stand to save the nation lies also in the hands of the older generation.

if I have one downside on the older generation is that they are generally way to trusting of mainstream media, pro internationalism, pro eu..
they may not be as radical progressive as the pinkhair young ones who ruin the nation properly.. but they also lack the realism that the world the old ones tossed over was the better one and we need to return to it.

I much rather have a random picked group of 78 year olds rule the nation.. than a random picked group of 28 year olds.
