Edit: maybe I misread this lol
An atheist believes there is nothing, while an agnostic believes there is no way of knowing that there is nothing.
I'm just making an assumption. I can't be sure this is correct, but I'm mostly talking about people who treat Buddhism in the philosophical sense. I know in my case, I reject the supernatural aspects of Buddhism like reincarnation, building merit, and karma, but I adhere to the other Buddhist aspects like meditation, no self, non attachment, the 5-aggregates, why we tend to suffer.
The large number of members leads me to believe that many Buddhist are also active on the atheist sub Reddit. I mean why would the other religions have a very small sub count? The conclusion is many atheist are also signed into the Buddhist forums as well. That is just a hunch though. I could be wrong. And finally, I am aware that there are Buddhist sects who treat the Buddha as a god. He is often referred to as lord Buddha.
Furthermore reddit rigs as such people always are prone to, any religious groups are infiltrated, censored and purged.
There is no integrity on reddit. just operand conditioning of conformist liberal opinions.
first world problems hey?
Worth noting, probably less than 1000 of those 2.8 million atheists are actually willing to discuss anything with you. They're unhinged and dogmatic. The most hostile bunch on the site.
