If I did, though, I would honestly just buy whatever I wanted. If it was me giving someone money, I wouldn't care if they bought something for themselves. That's what I gave them the money for, if I wanted a co-op game for the both of us to play I could just do that myself and gift them the copy.
Sometimes I gift games I just think they would enjoy that don't have multiplayer.\
In terms of a card I don't think anything is implied in general. Depends on who gave it to you. Normally anyone who would give me something like that I would already be playing games with.
So I wouldn't think to find something for us both unless we were getting sick of the current games we were playing and at that point we probably would have discussed different games.
Or if I was basically told "here find us a new game to play".
dollar based cards are useless to me.
but well I not give free stuff nor expect free stuff.
