You don't need a lot of friends.. About ten to twenty acquitances shall be plenty to boarden up your horizons once you grow up and have easier times finding some informations due to the shared connections..
For example, you're more likely to get yourself an appointment in hospital in case one of the doctors is your classmate from highschool back then, or if one of your classmates from highschool does have a friend who's a doctor, so they can ask them and pass on the message..

Otherwise, it's really not necessary.
Sure, gatherings, patries, all of those events do happen from time to time, but once you create a family, that's not gonna happen more than five times per a year, unless you can attend their birthdays, which is just as unrealistic as it sounds.

Because you do have to put in the effort to make them, find some common interests so your conversations won't be awkward and you could have fun, you know?
It doesn't feel nice when you can't talk because both of you can't get a single word out of yourselves, regardless of the reason being embarrassed, shy, or simply clueless about what to bring up to talk about.
There's always something that interests people about each other.. If there's no interest, then there's no friendship. And, that interest could be literally anything - Their sense of humour, their dedication to work, their kind and encouraging attitude, (...).

yes but im saying im not given the chance, and i dont have a select interest like art or a specific game so i dont feel comfortable in a community i barely belong in or have no experience about, just want to randomly see how it goes just a convo is all because then maybe interests are explored...

Nobody's gonna give you a chance until you present yourself in a positive light, because nobody's got the time for that.
Everybody has friends already, so they don't have any need to make an exception just because of you.. Though, that's probably gonna vary from person to person.
But, yeah - Generally speaking, they're not gonna put in any effort until you become interesting enough for them to bother and wonder why have you interested them.. Which, a hobby would've done with ease, especially if you were very passionate about it and making it clear.

I said I'd be friends with men on a dating site and that i would only date women,

But the men kept hitting on me and talking extremely dirty, Then there was the dirty pics. luckily i found how to disable the pictures, then i gave up on making friends because men only wanted one thing.
