Play games while also at the same time watch videos or listen to podcasts? I literally use the opera gx feature to put a mini player on the edge of the screen while I play another game

Used to with mmo's, yes, especially something like Black Desert, sailing. It takes hours to get anywhere on a ship, so might as well do something else at the same time!

Yeah. I usually have two or three screens/things I’m paying attention to when I’m at my PC. Gaming or otherwise.

I keep meaning to try a dual-monitor setup, but as it is, I often play a game in windowed mode with a browser video window next to it, or just listen to audio-only in the background.

Just for stuff like Minecraft or Final Fantasy IV tail grinding, though.

I used to do this a lot in the past when playing more chill games such as minecraft, stardew valley or whatever but lately I put more focus on my games for some reason.
Even chill ones.

only relatively grindy games, i would never do that with story driven games or games where i want to enjoy some sort of ambiance/atmosphere intrinsic to the game im playing

Lot of people use more than one monitor because of it. Gamers need at least two monitors.

Yes... but just the open world / crafting games... dual monitors are good at multitasking

Never did, to be honest. Though I haven't played ETS2 yet, but I have played a bunch of the Hard Truck and 18 Wheels of Steel series (the predecessors) for a long time. Have fond memories of "American Long Haul".

Oh yeah, all the time.
I mostly play RPGs, RPGs are very grindy, the grind gets repetitive after a while, so I'll throw on something to listen to. Anything from a podcast to a history documentary or even an audiobook.

ETS2 is cool because you can upload your music/podcast/other mp3 to the game and play it on the built in "radio"

I have two machines and often use one as a media server while I play or whatever on my main.

The monitor died and so did my spare <of about the same age> so then I connected that one to another TV input where my main display is for gaming etc. So now I use the Picture in Picture mode to have both.

Felt weird when a friend came over and I changed PIP mode to side by side, it felt like the old console shared screen thing ha ha.

They bring their VR glasses for display now though, that was just a temp fix. But I do the PIP thing normally now when its just for videos, anime or music even though I have a spare screen now as well.
