The Sox have money, though we'll see how much they have after arbitration and player options. Regardless, I'd avoid Ohtani. The Sox need rotation help a lot more than hitting and not only will Ohtani not be able to pitch in 2024, but his future as a pitcher is in question. I'd much rather pursue Yamamoto.
