Why people hate Asmongold?

All he does is watch other people's videos and adding no insightful or unique commentary to it. The fact that his low-effort content keeps being recommended to me relentlessly is why I hate him.

I also don't get watching twitch streams. It's kind of dumb, unless you're like watching someone play competitively so you can learn and become better at a game. But watching a dude watching another dude... what the ♥♥♥♥ dude?

His content is low effort af, his takes on many things are mental, playing games he mostly just repeats ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like ooohhh big ♥♥♥♥ bois, etc... I do love his editor roasting his ass and his frequent hypocrisy though.

I liken the dude to Dr Disrespect. He's a regular Joe who plays a character because it's successful and makes him loads of money. The rare times you get to see the real Zack, he seems like a pretty smart and chill guy, but the character Asmongold? Nah, he's a douche.

His mannerisms and quips are tailor-made for the Zoomer demographic, so you're wrong. He's a byproduct of the Twitch and YouTube algorithms more than a person at this point.

I dont hate many things or people. But i still dont watch him because as a person, as far i can make out on a video, he wouldnt be someone i would want to hang around with.
Because he appears arrogant to me. And i promised myself i wont be someone who is fueling the arrogant attitude of this society even more with my support.

Im not interested in all that stuff, there is way more important stuff, more interesting stuff, more beautiful stuff, as to spend my time watching him.
But that goes for many streamers.

My question to OP would be: why doy ou watch him? Are there not more ways to spent your time in your life?

Reaction videos are low effort content theft and help contribute to a decline in the availability/accessibility of actual artistic media.

He's helped popularize that format.

He also used his position on Twitch to bully Advertise off the platform, despite Advertise contributing to the most entertaining content on Asmongold's stream in years.

I don't really have any issues with him or what he does past that, but I avoid his channel and his content as I find it bland and narcissistic (I thought he was pretty entertaining years ago before there was a big shift in acceptable behavior on Twitch. I.e. the introduction of Just Chatting section.) Similar to a lot of streamers that fall into that circle.

Note I'm discussing the public figure, I have no idea who he is in real life.

I dunno why but I can't stand that guy, at the same time I only 'watch' streamers if I stand to benefit (drops etc) and I don't watch him ofc but he irritates me.

Asmon steals more content than he actually produces, and no "reacting" to things someone else did does not qualify as content.

He seems like a slightly annoying person in general. And then you find about the mouth blood he smears on his walls and leaves there. That's when you realize the guy isn't all there. He's a "meme lord." His entire shtick is reactions and I already don't care what most people think let alone want to see every reaction they make to every experience they have.

I don't think he is really a creator. He has a good point sometimes when he talk but most of the time he just playing another person's content then react like every couple of time say something neutral background noise in a really bored voice then call it a day. He probably put a lot of effort and money to have a good position as there was time I get a "reaction" video from him about a lots of different topics where he just do the formula (there was a time when I saw it's him again I started to try delete or block his channel so my feed is not filled with him). Better look the source like 99%of the time instead

i'm indifferent because i block any channel that floods my algorithm with "transformative content" where it's just somebody going 100% soy in the thumbnail and position themselves into the corner of someone else's video like a tumorous BonziBuddy and interject it with their input once every few seconds to farm some "TRUE KEKW" from chat because the streamer desperately needs the validation more than they actually need the adsense.
