I was playing learning games on the computer when I was probably around five or so. So, yeah, I think it's okay to let a toddler or a child play certain games, like learning games or something not so harsh like Mario, etc. But I don't think that allowing a toddler or a child to play games that contain mature subjects is a good idea; sadly, there are parents who go that route.

companies do do give you an option to buy age appropriate stuff

btw: PEGI is way more lax then FSK and FSK does NOT have kids in mind which is quite evident.

as young as they can be as long as they can control the game they are playing.

I had my first game at like age 4.

if you make sure they are playing the correct game for their age, then it can help their development, keep them entertained and quiet and let them develop hand eye coordination.

so long as you are not a stupid parent/guardian that lets an 8 year old play GTA then theres no age as too young for games provided the child is able to play it to some degree.

we didn't use conputers to get our degree so they don't need to either.. we also used to walk each day up and down the mount everest, trough the sahara, over the south pole and swap across the paciffic twice to go to school;)

Id say cod is more damaging to a kid then resident evil. Resident evil scares them, whatever, every kid has fear. Cod gets kids angry, and gets them to take interest into guns.
