Well, strictly speaking, it doesn't, but think about it for a moment. Is there anything more Lucas than to writes good story, withhold it for decades and second guess what he wrote and then throw something in at the last moment that just ruins the whole thing? Yeah, I'm sorta half-joking here but I mean it really does sound like something he would do.
Also, release order is almost always the right order because a successful series is written with the existing audience, readership, viewership or playerbase in mind.
No. It was not called part four until after he started to make the next one. The original release in the theaters did not say part four. Lucas never had the idea for all six before he started. On a side note, the movie would have failed if his wife was not a good editor.
