old games are worth the effort to set up tbh and people deserve respect for keeping them alive

a little message/shoutout to the community and modders who help people play games from their childhoods. i never played say overlord or prototype so for people to upgrade them or tell tweaks/patchs is very kind.


this makes it so even when games become old there is that one person who can help fix it to keep it alive.



i love being able to play old games since back then they were really well made, any game you want there is prob a way to play it now a days.



i don't mind remasters and remakes but i feel like i rather the originals stay original and they make new games. lets be honest when you do that just to cash grab thats pretty petty ahem r*




but ya its annoying to do research and downloading so many things and testing but once you do omg the classics are just too good to pass on. the effort and passion put into the first batch of games is just amazing and no new gen studios can perfect it like they did.

modding is also cool and i feel like more devs should allow it or make it easier, its legit free content people can make and they can save some time and money and relax.

Sure, there are a lot of terrible unfinished disappointments like Payday 3 and Back 4 Blood.

But there were also terrible unfinished games way back - difference is back then when they were bad they NEVER had a chance to get good. No such thing as updates back then. Nostalgia blinded goobers like you just choose to ignore the sea of terrible old games.

You know its bad when people bring up close to decade old games when asked for good new games, From early 7th gen and before I can list more good games from a single year then you could from the last decade. It's almost like quality is now the exception instead of the norm which is the whole point we're trying to make, no one claimed there's 0 good games now, just that there are significantly less.

Oh nevermind it's a fake account.those that don't own at least 50 games or so should have severely restricted forum access, if this is supposed to be a gaming forums only gamers should participate.
