iirc you only get aim assist if you use a controller. Otherwise agreed, it is blatant cheating.
Nobody plays for competition anymore. It's all about showing off the silly skins and emote dances.
TF2 on the Xbox had zero aim assist and it was absolute hell to play and i think overwatch had the same zero aim assist. zero fun

oh no you actually need skill to play games and thats not fun, you got to experience what its like playing on pc. oh no, when a pc player is good that means they put the time to be good but when someone plugs in a controller and they just have to aim at you which some games do auto thats just trash to feel. all those hours learned and being good at the game and then crossplatform is enabled and now your skill means nothing.

i was really good in fortnite at the time but once i have to play with controllers that just auto aim in close range i uninstalled. all that time sharpening my skill just to lose to a computer

if we are talking about unfair advantages in games being legal.

Probably because everyone has them and only console / gamepad users have aim assist
CoD's aim assist isn't going anywhere. It got a massive buff back in MW19.

Even "pro" CoD players use controllers because they can't use M&KB in tournaments.

Aim assist usually messes me up rather than helps me. Imagine aiming onto someone as another enemy runs past the screen and makes me miss my target by an inch and then I die.

have you ever played an fps with a controller? it also takes skill and time to get good at, it's not a magic "i win" button

everybody except those with hearing impairment or broken speakers/headphones lol
So this whole Aim Assist thing is gamepad related, right? Never could get a hang of that. Honestly, I can't aim at all in FPS games. Mouse or gamepad... it doesn't matter, I have zero reflexes.
