Fair enough. I think you make some good points but just subjectively here I'm thinking of maybe getting this premium at least for a bit at a point but I'm still thinking about it. Have to get over that GamePass sub I had for a while now, which I cancelled because I like Steam more in essence but yeah.

Thanks for your comment! Interesting. It is kind of true what you said about how YouTube is a monopoly but in essence it's got good content like. I tried going over to some other streaming sites for a bit but God... they are... different. Not so varied as YouTub. Not so much good content there, on other ones.

Using Firefox and Ublock origin started getting the pop-up about two weeks ago. Added Adblock Plus which stopped the pop-up for a couple of days, then it came back. Uninstalled Adblock and installed Ghostery which had the same effect as Adblock Plus.

Also, Google is slowly rolling this out. If you aren't getting the pop-up now, you should probably expect to get it eventually.

yes for many reasons

1. They aren't properly reviewed so you get scams, NSFW content, videos that can be hours long.
2. It slows down any browser and network (Stuff that YOU pay for not them).
3. Over the years an excessive amount of ads have been put everywhere on the site
4. They don't properly pay the creator for the ads and pay very little.
5. Ads and other trackers have become increasingly malicious over the years

A few ads are fine, no need for any adblock, but it's basically mandatory because of the reasons above and more.

ublock origin is better to use, because it blocks more than ads, it blocks connections to malicious things too

Yeah, Firefox + Ublock Origin still works fine. You can't use Ublock on Google Chrome because the browser is owned by Google.

I'm using Adguard Adblocker with Edge, it stops the popups for me.

It should be noted that I got it when logged in to my non-premium account (I have several), not when logged out.
