I have used that very extension to block their popup.

You can also use it to stop scripts from loading too if they ever make it script based.

basically don't use a browser that uses the chromium framework, google will be able to internally engineerit to prevent the blocking software.

if you have a good idea to build a new and better browser, you're in a hot marketplace right now.

opera browser has its own add blocker in the setting some were works 100% down side is its owned by some chinese company now so you mite need a tin foll hat to be safe

Anything not on Chrome.... Firefox Adblockers still work just fine

Yeah, Firefox with uBlock still works. It has to be Firefox.

Yea, I thought about similar, but I'm not going to defend a multi-billion dollar profit making company. I'll watch their stupid ads, but I'm consuming much less content now so it's really just another negative for content creators.

And what's the problem with ads on the sides instead of interrupting videos? Why is that not an option?

If people are still finding a way not to watch em... good for you. I'm not interested, but more power to ya.
