If you like Fire Emblem for it's game play, you might want to try the newest game, 'Fire Emblem Engage' if you have a Switch.
I played Birthright three years ago. It wasn't until I got to the final map, where I willingly threw the lives of my units away as cannon fodder to get to the boss that I realized that I didn't actually like the game. I bought Conquest along side it, but I have never been able to bring myself to play it very far. I've tried twice. Nothing against conquest, I just don't like Fates narrative-wise. I like the pairing mechanic, though.
I'm afraid to replay Dragon Age: Origins again because I'm worried I won't appreciate as much. It just lives in my memory as being a masterpiece.
