What game do you always come back to?
For me, it’s Portal 2.

At the moment, the main ones I’ve been replaying have been:
  • Old School RuneScape
  • RuneScape 3
  • Age of Wonders III
  • Terraria
  • Stardew Valley
  • Dead Cells
I replay games a ton, however, so there are plenty more that I may go back to in the future. You can just look at my list of games to get an idea of that, based on the hour counts there.

There are several franchises that I will replay and go back too frequently.

Star Ocean, Suikoden, Dragon Quest. Fire Emblem, Richman, Xuan Yuan Sword, Heroes of the Three Kingdoms and Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

But I still buy more games.

There are few games that are objectively better.

Not all games are created equally. By that I mean, even though I would like to return to some games, I can't because they might be simply too archaic.

So in general: yes I love some games more than others but at the same time, in general: Yes.

I just keep returning to games.

These could be thematic like racing games, RPG's FPS-games ARPG's.... Strategy sometimes, simulations other times...

I do appreciate my games. (my games as in ones that I experience and have or from memories of)

If I could honestly make a list this list would be I think relatively huge and would encompass a lot of games that i have played in the past and ones that I do now but again I have to emphasize that for instance playing modern open world games. And then going back to some older games it is like, you can feel the restrictions of old, limited technology that created them or as is the case with for instance more modern games, one feels the restrictions of the mind/s who created them like for instance this ideology that I think would go like: Keep It Simple, so then they streamline and simplify games.

An example of that could be Payday 3 compared to Payday 2 but one game that I keep returning to for instance could be: Tom Clancy's the Division 2.

I wold like to return to other games I love and I do when they can be played in for instance high resolution and don't have issues with them because they are more or less; timeless. A positive example of such a game could be something like System Shock 2 (as well as Thief 1 and 2) and a negative example could be something like: Deus Ex 2: Invisible War or Thief 3.

I'd like to get into Deus Ex 2 for instance but that game is just so, oh so bad. Like on modern hardware... Even Deus Ex 1 is clunk but amazing still..
