Curious to know what peoples interest in metal are these days.

As a steam community member I wanna know what the others think of metal these days and what they like to listen too. And music rig or sound rig. SLAYER!!!

Yep. That's the metal world for you. I'm not surprised. Especially for back in '06. I saw Celtic Frost back in '06 or '07 and something quite similar to that happened. Some big jerk was dusted out at the show and started a knife fight in the pit. Thankfully the only two people who got hurt were the guy on dust with the knife and the guy who took him down. The show itself was awesome, Celtic Frost were great, but at the age of 18 back then, yep, that's just that atmosphere.

Anytime the police have to show up in the lobby and take statements at a show, that's a pain in the arse. I talked with the guy for a second who took knife guy down in the pit. Half his forehead was flapping down from the gash and his shirt was all covered in blood. He was babbling a bit with a beer in his hand but I mean after an injury like that I'd want a beer too. He told me that the police took his statement first and by that time the other guy was already cuffed and in the back of the squad car.

I will say this much. I wish Danzig was actually preforming jazz routines like he said he was going to do.

I'm nearly 40 and have been a fan since the late 90's. I don't just listen to rock and metal but they are definitely my favourite genres.

There's a progressive metal band from Norway called Enslaved who i really love.
Also death metal bands like Deicide.
Some alt-metal like Deftones.
Old school ♥♥♥♥ like Sepultura.

I like a lot of hardcore and post-hardcore as well like Fugazi and Glassjaw.

I think I may have saw them before but good that jerk was the only one to get taken down. May have saw them at he blackest of the black but can't remember. I literally have to check my shirt to check,

LOL. No. It's that I'm 35 and was predominately a live musician. I went through 35/50 states, I did my time with it. My priorities are just different these days. I don't wanna be Jim Breuer, bro. lol.

Nothing beats it when you are at it live. I wish it were possible with a home setup. It's close but not really. Cause the kick bass is hard to simulate.

I just consider as a base point for me since all I known was holywarz. And that has been the baseline for me as a toddler. hahah srry. I guess it's kinda part and percale of being catholic. But I accept it all. Even with the agony I suffered. I will not tell, Till Maybe a song probably.
