And the group that oppresses them sees them as lessor beings. As people on land that doesn't belong to them. That no matter how bad Palestine has it, it didn't have 2000 years of oppression. So they should be greatful.
They have dirty polluted water, unreliable power, can have their homes stolen any time. They can be imprisoned without trial. They can do a mild crime, and get a longer Jail sentence than if the other group does a murder. They can have everything turned off in an instant by another sovereignty. And another sovereignty's laws trump theirs.
And in the west they are a victim of 9/11 propaganda from the Bush Era that made many westerners fearful of Muslims. When america was behind Bin laden, Bin laden was behind Isis. They also suffer constant western propaganda that tries to label the entire people as terrorists.
They are effectively, a people with no rights. Because the occupying force can do whatever with them.
that aside, just take a wild guess
Reported for name and shaming.
You can be for the Palestinian people and against both Hamas and Israel.
And Israel's government just forced my country's government to pass laws criminalizing non-violent protests and dissent as antisemitism, so supporting Palestine would get me dragged to the street and executed Saigon-style by Mossad.
So yeah, I don't support either side. This isn't my fight.
It was mine... I believe this.... The oil is ours...
If humans really wanted, we could be in such a better place.
Start yourself. Stop littering, stop bullying, stop demanding the world turns around you... Don't touch drugs. Take care of your child...
And remember: nobody chooses the place where he's born.
In a way your post makes a lot of sense & would agree that not only are we not responsible for where we are born but also not responsible for being born at all. That is why I continue to say that we are all connected in one way or another, whether we believe it or not. Burying our heads in the sand in denial is definitely not the answer.
I guess I dont have to support either side, but it looks like Israel is starting to kill a lot more innocents and that number keeps rising.
