Dumbest 'moral choices' in games?
A lot of games attempt to have complex moral choices, but they often are just black and while with little grey area that would actually be a moral dilemma.

My favorites include:
Fallout 3: Nuke small town for money or don't.
Doom 3: Gas person or don't.
Bioshock: Kill child or don't.
Fallout 3: Become a slaver or don't.
Fallout 4: Sell child as a slave to raider or don't.

What are some of your favorite complex moral dilemmas in a game?

These things aren't presented as real moral dilemmas where you have to think about the choice and what the best thing to do is. It's more like, do option A to go down path A or option B to go down path B. It gets its DNA from games where you have two or more endings, and since there's unique content (even if it's just a cutscene or two) locked to each, the intent is that dedicated or completionist players will want to get both endings on different playthroughs. So it makes sense to make it overwhelmingly obvious which choice is which.

It's just that, in these cases, your two paths are good/evil instead of some arbitrary in-universe divide that real world logic and concerns don't necessarily apply to, like join red team/join blue team or whatever.

Game: "Now I'll make the player feel so bad giving him chance to obtain this big reward but forcing him to kill all those poor people to get it ha ha"

Me: "This game is so boring, I think I'll quit playing it soon.... WHAT???? I can't believe I finally have the chance to kill all those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥!!! It will be so much fun!!! Finally!!!! I wanted to kill them since the first time I saw their faces!!! This game is sooo great"

moral "choices" in videogames

As someone mentioned earlier, stealing items from a faction you’re on bad terms with in New Vegas shouldn’t result in negative karma. I think the choices with Benny were kinda lame too. It’s almost impossible to keep him alive/spare him, and even if you do nothing special happens. It would’ve made for an interesting faction imo.
