Do you play your video games in a language other than English?
And if so, what language.

If the game has horrible English voice over I'll keep it to the native language which is usually Japanese.
It's been a long time since I've heard a bad enough dub for it, but yeah, this is me too.

LOL this reminds me of Shenmue...

From the dawn of video game voice acting to about 2006 or so, your decently voiced games were the exception, lol.

Sometimes I hear people ask why do they pay voice actors so much in modern games and I'm like YOUTUBE TIME.

I love the English voice acting in Monster Hunter Rise. Its so silly sometimes, it can make me laugh.
japanese voice acting memes are tolerable, and the actors at least sound like they're playing a character. even if it's 90% stereotypes and acting tropes.

english voice acting compares unfavorably with rifftrax.

There are also the cases where there's no English dub. Like in Yakuza 0/Kiwami. Maybe others in the series, haven't played those yet.

The English script translation was the atrocious product of nepotism. Nobody cared enough to do it right; they're trash games designed to undermine the narrative of the first game, so if a neptoism case ♥♥♥♥♥ the script up all the better.

Games by Arc System Works and French Bread would just not be the same with English voice-over. English voice actors and actresses are just not expressive enough to match the character design.

What makes French more expressive?
English voice actors blow.

In most other languages, dubbing is done much better.

The exception is Russian, that dub over in a very monotone voice.

The first game had a narrative? I'm playing the remake now and I thought the story was just terrible with how villains literally come from nowhere and Kiryu's all like "oh right this guy is my arch nemesis" and then you beat him and he never shows up again. The only way I've come up with to rationalize this is that this is a remake of a PS2 game in which these villains were just boss characters at the end of a level/dungeon and they only wrote in a tiny bit of story for them in the remake.
No
And personally, I think learning a new language is a waste of time
That could be a noteworthy feature; if people could switch between languages with a single key-press during play.
