yeah about that i tried that and of course didn't work
if its not an Elite Wireless Controller with Bluetooth then..
Make sure that your wireless adapter is compatible with your PC and your controller. Some adapters may not work well with Windows 11 or Xbox 360 controllers. You can check the product description and reviews of your adapter on Amazon to see if other users have reported any problems or solutions.
Update the drivers for your wireless adapter and your controller. Sometimes, outdated or corrupted drivers can cause connection and performance issues. You can update the drivers manually by following the instructions on this page2, or you can use a tool like Driver Easy3 to automatically scan and update the drivers for you.
Re-sync your controller with your wireless adapter. Sometimes, the wireless connection between your controller and your adapter may be lost or interrupted. To re-sync them, you need to press and hold the sync button on the adapter until it flashes, then press and hold the sync button on the controller until the guide button flashes. Your controller should pair with the adapter, and you should see a solid light on both devices.
Adjust the sensitivity and calibration of your controller. Sometimes, the controller may be too sensitive or too slow for your preference or for certain games. You can adjust the sensitivity and calibration of your controller by using the Game Controller settings or the Xbox Accessories app on your PC5. You can also use a tool like Xpadder to customize your controller settings for different games.
