Would you enter a relationship with a cougar
Let's say you're in your twenties and are being flirted on by a decent looking 50 year old with a bit of plump. Would you be open to her gestures and commit?

I see many people being ok with older men dating younger women, but it appears to be looked down upon to be getting lays with older women as a younger guy.

cougars tend to like eating small prey mammals so no.

It has nothing to do with wild animals, but might lead to all sorts of sex fun.

I mean she was right on the money that they prey on small animals to some extent.

A cougar would not necessarily be after her. ;) Now young animals I would say would be the best to call them.

Well, I am not looking to date. If I were looking to date a woman and assuming I am in my twenties as specified in the original post, then probably not. I mean, I would not discount it entirely, but she would really have to make up for it in other ways. Assuming all factors between my candidates are otherwise equal, it is a pretty poor proposition for two reasons though.

The first is that while 50 is not quite old yet, it is pretty close, and people only get older. Even if you like the way people in their 50s look most, people under your preferred age range grow into your preferred age range, whereas people in your preferred age range grow out of it. Due to the way aging works, a little too young is also likely going to look more attractive than a little too old.

The second and much more important factor is that somebody who is much older than you is likely to die before you. Dating a woman who is old enough to be your mother puts you in the potential position of losing both your parents and your wife at around the same time, not only rendering you twice as grievous without that emotional anchor a spouse would ordinarily provide in such a trying time. Also, if you want to seek a replacement, it is harder to do so while you are older as opposed to being younger. Simply put, somebody who is much older than you can't really be a life partner, due to the constraints of human mortality.

Making matters worse. Let's say the relationship the two of you made your first wife the love of your life. It could be very difficult giving the appropriate level of devotion to any subsequent partners, and making your replacement partner live enviously in the shadow of a dead person is not particularly fair either.

Just to drive the point home, the average life expectancy of a woman is 79, and the average life span is 74, according to the C.D.C.[www.cdc.gov] A 50 year old woman is going to die within 30 years.. If she's dating a 25 year old man (the median age of your 20s), then he's going to be 54 years old when she dies, and at a 4 year disadvantage compared to her when it comes to finding a new woman to date, plus he only has 20 years left to live to enjoy with his new partner. It's not guaranteed he'll find ever anybody else either, so those could be 20 years of loneliness. Strangely enough, it is actually fairer if she goes for a 20 year old, since at least he shall be the same age she was when she died, but otherwise it seems like a pretty bad proposition, unless she can make those 30 years really worthwhile.

Simply put, you can't expect a mortal much older than you to be your life partner, so they really have to make up for that fact somehow for it to be worthwhile, at least, if you are looking for a meaningful relationship rather than just a fling.

If you want somebody to really be your life partner, ideally, the disparaty in ages should be as small as possible, with the ideal age gap being somewhere more within the range of 5 years, with the man being the younger of the two in consideration of the fact that men die at a younger age on average. The idea is that you should time it that you're both about ready to expire at the same time, so you can enjoy the remainder of your whole lives together, without needing to worry too much about what comes afterwards, since there should not be much of an afterwards to be a cause of concern.

Pragmatically though, you're probably looking at increasing the striking range to the half your age plus 7 rule to determining how young the younger party in the relationship should be, in the interests of finding somebody who really suits you. Going by that rule, somebody who is 50 should be looking for somebody who is 32 at the very youngest, and even then, she's technically old enough to be his mother. Granted, the rule was designed for men, and if we are being fair, then maybe a woman could get an extra year or two of leeway in consideration of their slightly longer lifespans, but even so don't think a 50 year old woman should be expecting to get somebody below his 30s.

Going strictly by half your age plus 7, even a woman who is as young as 45, which is as young as I might think somebody could even possibly be considered a cougar (at a stretch), shouldn't be looking for a guy who's under 29.
No one said anything about marrying a cougar.

My father remarried to a woman 30 years younger... and younger than my sister... lasted 47 years till he died at 99

I had a relationship with a bear in BG3 so I suppose cougars are the natural next step.

they can just call them milfs, why they need to bring new names to something that already has so many names.

A cougar of the felidae kind? Maybe
A human "cougar" type? No
When i was that age I dated cougars. They're experienced, they're very nice. They tend to be established and know what they want. Many women in their younger years don't really know what they want.

No mature and wise. I found many of the women in their twenties to be kind of annoying...immature. But women age like fine wine. Although as I get older I get the attentions of women in their early twenties and it's flattering and I find them less annoying now, then when I was that age. But I would still rather have a woman with a good mind, rather then a hot body.

it's not the same Mother word you think, when someone say "Daddy" do you think this person talking about real Father? it's something sexual or used to insult others, some times even girls will say she is your daddy, how can a girl who looks like a Fortnite character can be a Father?? its impossible only used to insult others.
i lived in place they use Aunt or Uncle to insult others in sexual way.

Old women at best are practice girlfriends.

Geriatric pregnancy is extinction, which starts when women hit 30.

Its looked down upon because even ancient people understood it was extinction.
