Dr. Uwe Boll still making Films?
I thought he retired from making films to run a restaurant chain. Apparently, it was just a hiatus. There's still hope for a Wolfenstein film adaptation folks.

I never saw any of his Films, in fact the only Thing I know about him is that he Beat up his critics in a Boxing Match

Given the high-budget gunk most of Hollywood churns out, I think his films got panned mostly for his controversial personality.
Assault on Wall Street is a pretty decent action film, imo. Nothing deep nor revolutionary, but decent.

He's a doctor? Dear god.
I read that he got all his financing through some tax loophole, but I never understood how putting money in a movie that makes no money can earn you anything, even if its tax deductabile.

Wolfenstein film adaptation, eh? Knowing video game movies they can be a hit or miss.
Wolfenstein terrifies me sometimes.

BTW if you want something a tiny bit like Wolfenstein (WW2 and supernatural) I suggest Overlord 2018. Fun movie.

Postal is one of my favorite comedy movies. There's just nothing quite like it.

Wrote his dissertation about "Die Gattung Serie und ihre Genres" (The Genus of Series and its Genres). Is a doctor of literature sciences. Makes sense, given that he is working in film.

Boll was definitely the right bloke for that job.

Uwe Boll is the kind of guy that's way more entertaining to watch than his films.

as i understand it, he essentially made systematic abuse of a "The Producers" style loophole in german law to make underperfoming moves in order to collect insurance on it.
part of some cultural film industry stimulus initiative i believe, intended to bolster german film making but ending up essentially paying people to make sub-par movies instead.

once the loophole was closed he would have to deliver movies that actually make a profit in order to see a return of investment, and i believe it was around that time he left the business.

That's the weird thing about Uwe Boll, the guy KNOWS how to direct. He just chooses really bad scripts.

People have been trying to figure out if his movies are a means to tax evade/write offs for studios.

Apparently, he heavily relied on subsidies and tax loopholes for funding in the past. Canada and Germany in particular, where most of his films are made, are kinda infamous for heavily subsidising the film industry to unreasonable degrees.
