Not true. This depends on your upbringing. Many, many Gen Z are and always have been in large disfavor of the "current" anything. I'm a 97' baby, a hard working family man and grew up with many pre-2000's cultural motives and ideas. It seems you are referring to most people born after 2000 or university kids who were raised by the local pretentious who played part in screwing the economy 20 years ago. That makes up a minority, they are only the loudest and do not represent the majority of us younger people.
