Here's a secret , they have always been awful from the get go , their games are made for people with low attention spans and make dumb-down games they always have going back to the original Warcraft games, and the first Diablo, there was other games on the field that did those genres much better and much more in depth and had replay value for years on end.

I can name quite a few better MMO's than WoW. It isn't that hard.

Final fantasy will always be a single player game to me.... they call it the holy trinity, tank, dps and a healer. Why WoW stood out and always will. Besides, blizzard messed up all the xpacs... wow classic is the game that is worth very much, and should cost.... $2.99 per month.... 5.99 per month for the xpacs... 14.99 for the new FILL THE WHOLE SCREEN with lights and colors xpac.

Path of exile is a slash and hack looter rpg, not an mmorpg at all. Destiny is an online looter shooter. Elder Scrolls was close.... but instead of seeing the gold of making a first person hack and slash mmorpg with the holy trinity they included a dumb cast bar like wow.... could have made an amazing game, it really is too bad that they messed up the control system.

While WoW is still on the list (not something I disputed), it is never stays number one on the list. WoW has a dedicated fan base. Not contesting that either. But people are becoming less and less content with WoW. FF XIV has been number one for the past 2 years. Not really a WoW killer, but it does show that people seem to like other MMO's more.

The statistics are out there for you to see rather than to go with what you "feel" is the right answer.

Now I still play World of Warcraft and I'm...okay let me explain this in detail

Dragonflight is not bad, at least not bad in terms like Shadowlands or BFA. Its also an amazingly designed and lore rich area of the Warcraft universe that has been spoken of in books and stuff like that

The issue is that this is a lackluster Legion situation. Unlike Legion, where you literally get roundhouse kicked three times in a row by the demons and never come closer to defeating them because their actually several steps ahead of everyone, Dragonflight is not that good of a story.

Yes the idea that there's dragons who do not agree with the main flights has been a thing, hell thats what Cata was all about, the Black Dragon flight out for blood, now this is just a return to that save now we got the forefather of the elementals which is not even interesting itself when you get that the Dragons lore of being elementals that gained a solid form, is basically their entire thing

Yes, the Dragons in Warcraft, are just far more powerful elemental forms of the Elemental Lords but even then the Elemental lords are working for the Old Gods, they just want to corrupt the planet and now the current patch LITERALLY FEATURES THE PRIMAL FIRE DRAGON BEING CORRUPTED BY THE OLD GODS so were literally just having a 2nd Cata run (I mean I guess Legion was just the 2nd generation of Burning Crusade and Lich King had the return with Shadowlands)

But the point is, as much fun as I have in Warcraft, the story is boring, its shallow, you can see the plot coming from the other side of the planet which honestly is not shocking nor interesting, like yes I know the primal dragons will lose as thats just Warcraft expansions in a nutshell, the bad guys always loose regardless of how close to victory they are, but the issue is with Dragonflight IS THAT THESE ENEMIES ARE NOT EVEN NEAR THE STARTING POINT OF VICTORY

There's no tension, there's no drama, hell it does not even feel like the world is under an actual threat. With Burning Crusade you were out to stop the legions new invasion, Lich King was to stop the Lich King, Cata was to stop Death Wing, Panda was to stop Hellscream, Draenor was to, again, Stop Hellscream, Legion was to finally end the Burning Legion, BFA was to stop the war between the two major factions of Horde and Alliance, Shadowlands brought an end to the Lich stuff.

But what do all of those have in common? IT WAS THE FACT THAT THOSE ENEMIES ALMOST WON

Deathwing nearly destroyed the planet
Hellscream nearly had his legions of orcs prepared to invade TWICE
Lich King was prepared to bring forth the Old Gods and nearly did so
BFA saw the near victory of an Old God alone
Legion saw the demon titan himself stab the freaking planet and nearly win
Shadowlands saw the finale of Jailers plan and he nearly won

AND ALL OF THOSE WERE DONE OVER 2 YEARS

DRAGONFLIGHT IS NOW THAT FAR AHEAD, HELL THE MAIN BAD GUY LITERALLY IS KILLED OFF IN THE FIRST RAID
