would you rather only watch old cartoons or modern?
im still looking for a cartoon two and its very hard, almost as its lost to time
one had a small dude, small as mario and he could transform into any animal
another was some space show, i only seen it once on vacation, weird how that happens, think it had a number in it, it had well pretty generic military suited guys and well they would go on missions. so far no luck

i looked and looked and watch some videos and wow, just wow, cartoons were awesome some good

would you rather super old cartoons knowing it had cheesy music, bad picture, audio, poor and cringe animation, dry plot, terrible logic and writing. some were decent but alot were bad

or watch modern garbage like ttg, fosters, uncle grandpa, spongebob, regular show, loud house, steven universe and more?

how are spongebob and regular show modern garbage?, different eras have good and bad, i would watch the modern ones because of numbers you can get more good shows
I can watch old cartoons because I have nostalgia for them, and I was the target audience back when they came out in the 80s and 90s.

Today, I am absolutely not the target audience for modern cartoons, and I also have no nostalgia for them. Ergo; I don't care to watch them.
The old classics were epic and well done.
Like bugs bunny before the road runner started kind of old.
60's brought a lot of cringe stuff but still some fun stuff.... frankly shows like Harvey Birdman Atty at law I found just great since I knew all the old characters.
Been a mix of stuff through the years all around.
Venture Brothers pretty great
Early spongebob wasn't bad, haven't seen it for years though, also liked stuff like Courage the Cowardly Dog, Power Puff Girls. The Steven Spielburg stuff like Freakazoid, Animaniacs and Tiny Toons.
Have Rocko's Modern Life on DVDs Ren and Stimpy
Anime I consider cartoons as well,
Lots of good stuff in an ocean toilet water but some real gems there as well.

1990-2010 was the best
I don't understand the modern ones, I don't understand the humor within them aswell.
That shall pretty much answer the question.

I would like to eliminate the concept of media targeted at children.
Depends on if they're good or bad regardless of the time they were made
Old. Modern CalArts killed cartoons.

whatever cartoon that is fun to watch and has an artstyle I like , I don't care if it's old or new.

Indeed, but Hanna-Barbera was notoriously garbage animation. Like 3 frames per second and absolutely horrible art.

Why can we see both sides of Fred Flintstone's face when he's facing sideways, for instance?

I love the art in a lot of modern cartoons, and the humor. Spongebob is the closest thing we have today to the old Merrie Melodies - Loony Toons cartoons -- because the humor is there for every single age group -- from grandma to the toddlers in the room, everyone laughs, and usually for different reasons.

I hate the so-called bean-face "CalArts" lazy style more than just about anything, though. Someone posted a clip from "Invader Zim" on another thread earlier and the art gave me an eye tic and an involuntary curl of the lip and even a slight growl. Like some part of my brain said "Who did this to you, Animation?" and wanted to take revenge for this vandalism.

But I also love the R-rated potty humor and animation styles of both South Park and Family Guy, so I'm not gonna pretend to be the arbiter of taste over here or anything.

My girlfriend and I have cartoons ranging from before we were born to the 200x period.

Stuff in the 20s don't interest us.
