Today, I am absolutely not the target audience for modern cartoons, and I also have no nostalgia for them. Ergo; I don't care to watch them.
Like bugs bunny before the road runner started kind of old.
60's brought a lot of cringe stuff but still some fun stuff.... frankly shows like Harvey Birdman Atty at law I found just great since I knew all the old characters.
Been a mix of stuff through the years all around.
Venture Brothers pretty great
Early spongebob wasn't bad, haven't seen it for years though, also liked stuff like Courage the Cowardly Dog, Power Puff Girls. The Steven Spielburg stuff like Freakazoid, Animaniacs and Tiny Toons.
Have Rocko's Modern Life on DVDs Ren and Stimpy
Anime I consider cartoons as well,
Lots of good stuff in an ocean toilet water but some real gems there as well.
That shall pretty much answer the question.

Why can we see both sides of Fred Flintstone's face when he's facing sideways, for instance?
I love the art in a lot of modern cartoons, and the humor. Spongebob is the closest thing we have today to the old Merrie Melodies - Loony Toons cartoons -- because the humor is there for every single age group -- from grandma to the toddlers in the room, everyone laughs, and usually for different reasons.
I hate the so-called bean-face "CalArts" lazy style more than just about anything, though. Someone posted a clip from "Invader Zim" on another thread earlier and the art gave me an eye tic and an involuntary curl of the lip and even a slight growl. Like some part of my brain said "Who did this to you, Animation?" and wanted to take revenge for this vandalism.
But I also love the R-rated potty humor and animation styles of both South Park and Family Guy, so I'm not gonna pretend to be the arbiter of taste over here or anything.

This probably one of the oldest I remember liking, besides looneytunes etc..

Stuff in the 20s don't interest us.
