What does Equality mean to you?
Do you think people actually want to be equals?

Why would you post this? Just why?
It means what it says - everybody's equal, nobody's privileged.
And no, it will never be achieved because we're just too stupid.

you mean because we're humans

No difference. :P
yes they do. If we were too equal we would be like stranded on an island consuming all resources and now you got the answer to the middle east.
everyone is free to do as they please as long as it does not infringe on others in a negative way.
If a factory produces a 5lb bar of chocolate, and a 20lb bar of chocolate. And puts one on each end of a balance scale.

You see the 20lb is bringing one side of the scale to the ground.

And they ask you "Sir, which of these bars of chocolate is better?"

And you say "They are equal."

Is no different than saying the 30 years experience Doctor is the same as the street begger and both deserve the same pay.

Equality is literally impossible to achieve in its truest sense and nonsensical since every human being is different in needs, ability and circumstance. When you discuss equality you have to be very specific in what you want to achieve for it to make any sense and even then a lot of issues arise mainly because focusing solely on bringing about equality rather than making things better for everyone is a very flawed mindset in itself.
Can mean a lot of things. Equality to some means treating people of indistinguishable virtue differently, based on emotional or personal interpretation of what somebody deserves.

To me, equality is not sabotaging me every game of Mario Party, because you *think* I'm the best at the game.
I think everybody strives to be the best, Nobody likes a stalemate.
It’s an unrealistic fantasy that will never come true.

Well that is why I suggest free education since that would give everyone an equal opportunity to make what they can of themselves.

We are all different and will fit in different places, the key to equality is the opportunity to find those places equally.

Our differences will settle us in our peer group standing.

I think it is important if you really believe in equality to ask these questions so we can reach a higher ideal place.

I believe we can do it if we try. We just have to talk and think about things for ourselves.

I think the great Reverend Martin Luther King put it as well as possible in his I Have A Dream speech.

What he basically said was that no one is born equal.

Equality is gained through education.

His dream was that All People, not just African Americans, pull themselves up by their own boot straps and educate themselves to become equals.

But honestly that is about all you can do.

Once you raise your peer group through education you still end up in a competitive world where you struggle against your equals to do better.

Anyone who has had to deal with office politics can tell you people there back stab, lie, steal others credit all for that next promotion or raise. Examples abound in society...

Even in ones own family siblings vie for favor.... no one is ever seeking equality.

I think laws for equal hiring of people based on color is just another form of inequality.

If people seek equality I think the best course would be to make education free to everyone.
At least give people the opportunity to raise their peer level to where they can equally.
Would have to agree.

People scream "equality" all day long, but what they all want, is privilege.
It's a mathematical property: a = a.

Also, I believe people should be equal in the eyes of the law. Other than that, it's mostly a platitude.
