How to tell if your rib is broken?

I figured it was just the bone kind of rolling over the edge of the surface and it kinda hurt at the time but it went away and now 2 days later it hurts when I move.

Yeah. I just looked it up and it said they can only heal naturally and there is no point getting an x-ray.

I broke a couple of ribs some years ago (2008 actually) and don't know how I did it. It is a good idea to get XRays to know where they are at (in my case on my right rear) so you can do things a bit differently. I can deal with pain for some period of time. My ribs hurt for about a month before actually going to see the doctor and getting XRays taken.

Why? Because if your rib(s) were broken, the pain would be excruciating. And in the worst case scenario, broken rib(s) may puncture your lung(s). Since you are fine, it's fine.

Not necessarily. The fracture I suffered in my wrist hurt more than the broken ribs.

I never broke a bone before but if you’re feeling a bit off then it’s best to get a check up.
