So, someone is not allowed to disagree without automatically being ugly? Amazing.
I do not like Fable, I never liked Fable, so I do not say this to defend it I'm just saying this because it is something I care about a lot more in general:
the problem is that when you make a ugly CARTOON character, it is still cute, it still has its charm somehow... it has artistic value to it even if it is not cute because it is not meant to be cute... if it's done well it is still pleasant to look at.
But Fable 3 is much more realistic, most videogames in general are much more realistic, and realism just suck. It is ugly, it is unpleasant to look at it, and people complain and notice it more when they see a ugly character.
Of course I know there are a lot of woke activists and sjw and so on who only want to have ugly women in media and attack everybody who make a good looking female character... I am not denying this because it is undeniable, but I bet that people notice this 10 times more than they would normally do because with those realistic art styles uglyness is just plain ugly, it sucks, and it is disgusting to look at. If videogames had a different art style it would be much less noticeable and less people would complain, I'm sure.
One of the very hottest characters in gaming.
I struggle to think of any other examples of an adult human female protagonist who does not look like a super-model, and even amongst the non-humans, the examples are scarce and arguably live up to the standards of beauty for their kind, which is to say, Ms. Pacman certainly didn't have trouble finding a husband.
Also, regarding Laura Croft, the redesign kind of makes sense? Now I do not mean to suggest that she could not have been made more curvaceous if the designers wanted, but having a 1990s Playstation 1 mascot running around in a realistic environment is a rather ludicrous thought, and even if Laura works better than Spyro or Crash in that regard, she still looks too much like a Barbie doll that is ready to snap in half like a twig at a moment's notice for it.
Plus hey, we are supposed to be getting Tomb Raider Ⅰ–Ⅲ remasters where Laura looks more like her old fashioned self in February of 2024 anyway, so you can have fun playing those if, well, I'd say nothing else but there is plenty of else to be had. I mean, have you seen Samus? XP
try them out if you haven't already.
and BloodRayne. Definitely BloodRayne.
But more seriously, TR 1-3 are three of my all time faves, but im just hearing this now. Doesn't look like it's hitting PC though.
Wait there it is. You can pre-order it here actually.

They're focusing on 2 because that's their plan for humanity.
