60 / 9.75 x 1.5 = 9.23 mph
Fat little me once ran six or so kilometres in about half an hour, and that was with PE twice a week.
I myself is about as nimble and fast as a fridge.
I remember that when I started to jog I could barely reach 200 meters before getting so out of breath that I was hyperventilating. I kept on doing that for 2 weeks and suddenly, and weirdly, on the third week, instead of only being able to jog for 200 meter before stopping, I managed to jog for about 10,000 meters and still feeling like I could go on for longer. But I didn't want to as it took me about an hour to reach that distance. :P
Anyway, what I wanted to say is that the beginning is the hardest part. But with time, it'll only become easier as you train! :D
It's 4 minutes 3 seconds per km which is at 14.7692 km/h speed.
I'm a runner and I'd say 15km/h speed for 2.4km average is considered "fit" however you will need to do it consistently to see your average running ability.
In treadmill terms, 15km/h will give you a nice high pitch screech sound but not fast enough that the treadmill vibrates and you hold on for dear life (that happens at 17-18).
The 7 min mile = in shape
The 6 min mile = in excellent shape
The 5 min mile = athletic that could go pro
The 4 min mile = super athletic, world class contender
3 minutes 43.13 seconds mile = world record
That is in full gear and holding a automatic rifle .... running in rough terrain with a sadistic drill sergeant who is constantly yelling at you
Nope.
I also was 2d best at gym at that age at my school despite not doing any sport.
outperforming all those sixpack fitness buffs in strenght, highjumping farjumping and distance runningm
(only in turning and sprint they did beat me.. I had strenth and endurance not agility and speed)
as for your performance
walking speed = 5-6km per hour
or 1km per 10 minutes.
matathon = 42km in 2 hr world record amateurs do closer to 4hr.
thats 21km/s for top atletes and 10.5km/s for amateurs.
your speed was 14.8km/s
but ofcourse it was only 10 minutes not hours on end.
shuttle run test is most common used here.
you start running
50 meter at 8km/s
(25m across a gym, cross the line, turn run back and make it before the beep)
22.5s before first beep (stage 1)
than it speeds up.. next 50m at 8.5km/s
(beep after 21.2s)
than 9km/s
(beep after 20s)
18.9s
18s
17.1s
16.4s
and so on.
for students to get a passing grade at highschool (upto your 18yo age)
thats basicly your C- or D.
females must make stage 9
males must make stage 11.
each stage above that is +0.5
so stage 14 for females and 16 for males is A+
while the shuttle test is heavyier than one stable speed due the turns and stops.. but you start also slower so hard comparsing.
your speed was comparable to stage 14, just shy of 15.
which being male would give you a 9/10 or an A- in usa numbers.
at your age I made untrained 13 in that test
the other less common test is the cooper test. run for 10 minutes..
250m per round.
6 rounds or. 1500m = passing grade
each full round more is +0.75 point.
(so 3000m in 10 min was 10/10 or A+)
you likely would have made 2500m in 10 min so thats a 8.5 or a solid B to B+
very good result.
I passed the cooper test with just 2000m (enough to get a 7) I could have gotten better but there was no timing.
so all in all you are in good shape but so are most at your age.
but with results like that you are in the top 10%
