Micro aggressions
So, was watching unbreakable kimmy and there was a little college arc were kids were slinging around the words micro aggression rather liberally.

I've heard people use the terms micro expression and micro aggression over my life for some odd things (mostly to call someone racist) and decided it was time I actually looked micro aggression up.

Seems it is indeed meant as a way to label racist actions but like most things its become OVER used.

For instance, people say 'man' or 'dude' is a micro aggression.
Sure, something more neutral would probably be better (even before wokism was so popular, Ive often prefered gender neutral terminology).
however, it is not at all accurate to call something like refering to people as 'guys' to be a micro aggression. And I will even go so far as to say 'ladies' IS a micro aggression.

To say guys ia not an assumption that you are interacting or indicating you are interacting with men.... its actually intended to be a fluid form gender neutral term.

where as often times people say 'ladies' to a crowd either to specifically address the women, ignoring any men present, in some sexual or romantic interest... or to belittle the men you are addressing in some crass idea that women are overall lesser then men even if its meant to be used endearingly.

even considering social conditioning, saying things like 'people' or 'everyone' or the such can feel less fluid or more cumbersome overall.
nevermind it can lack nuance, people and everyone can refer to ALL those around you where as 'guys' is often understood to be a less formal... targeted;;; reference to those you are more familiar with.

there may be a chance language is structured this way as a benchmark of control from 'the patriarchy' but its definitely not a micro aggression.

In many places (or "spaces" if you want to use the current lingo) any questioning or skepticism about microagressions, including your whole post, is itself a microagression. Or worse.

Your post would be downvoted to oblivion on many forums (I mean, in many "spaces") -- and my reply, too, for that matter, simply for pointing out this fact.

The whole concept is the mark of a weak society, made of weak people, easily conquered.

Soon. And when it is -- complete with actual, real, decidedly non-micro aggression -- these people will wonder why it happened.

I dont give a ♥♥♥♥ about progressive perception. I science my words for ♥♥♥♥ exactly like this. Anyone can claim anything means anything and that anything does anything. That doesnt make it true.

yet, we have ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like where jobs host seminars and graded courses to tell white people they are inherently racist, THAT IS A MICRO AGGRESSION,. ♥♥♥♥ that. if any of my jobs ever did that, I'd ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sue...

not ranting AT you... I digress..

ya, thats why i'm not on reddit... that place is toxic and uses archaic social justice to dictate who is good and bad there. disgusting and part of why it confuses me that people say im a redditor.
♥♥♥♥ trial by public opinion.

they are already wondering why ♥♥♥♥ is the way it is. We have a confused nation who decides whats truth based on convincing articles rather then the actual truth (during the kyle riddenhouse situation I talked to several teens and despite having the full minute to minute footage available... non of them had seen any of it. Instead deciding he was a murderer because of articles.

among other situation. Fully reminds me of the movie idiocracy.

its crazy

It is indeed crazy, Shinoskay.

The word "crazy" is a microagression now, too. It marginalizes our betters, the neuro-atypical.

Yeah, it's all nuttier than squirrel sh&t. Thankfully it's (to use a recent academic gradepoint-heightening term) unsustainable. Whatever can't last, won't.

And a society this weak and chestless cannot last.

I honestly feel sorry for people who have had such easy meaningless lives that they have to resort to pointing out perceived micro aggressions to get their fulfilment and self worth.

Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me is something we used to say as pre schoolers. Who I guess are now more emotionally strong then these micro aggression types

Vaccination is a macro aggression. Hospital birth is tons of small micro aggressions that amount to a maro aggression beyond anything the average person can imagine. Hidden in plain sight, thankfully we're starting to call out these things.

Yeah, that person is crazy.... or when someone doesn't know what to say during a rather valid point or opinion and they just drift off and say... crazy.

All that text for a non-existent thing...

One time my legal guardians asked me to clean my room. And that was a micro aggression.

No, "micro aggression" is made up mumbo-jumbo to try to sound like it's "important" and "real"

Perhaps, the term is only about 10 years older then me. Still, there is a science behind it.

Micro aggression don;t exist, it is a ploy to have no self responsibility and be a victim so that you are always in the right.
I will be short and honest- the use the phrase “micro-aggression” is indicative of a person I wish to share no words with. Life is already challenging without needing to constantly worry about semantics and seeking faults, no matter how small. You are free to label the things you dislike however you choose, micro-aggressions, etc, but you are not free to assume you speak for the whole of society.
