Electric cars are a disaster
"Hello. I'm an electric car. :( I can't go very fast or very far and if you drive me, people will think you're gay." ~ The Simpsons.

Seriously, who thought this was a good idea? Please don't let them breed and further their stupidity upon the human race.

There's nowhere to charge these stupid EVs (electric vehicles) and they have limited coverage and range. Especially if your mode of transport is a van, needed for work to carry tools for jobs or call-outs.

Oh yeah, they lie and say you'll save money, or the government will give you subsidies and grant if your employers trade in their diesel cars for them. They are so expensive, not even getting into the problems insurers are causing Tesla drivers.

This is like British Railway's Modernisation Plan (for those living in the America - was a total f**king disaster, they got rid of thousands of reliable steam locomotives to replace them with dozens of non-standard diesel and electric engines, most had unproven untested technologies that often broke down 40-60% of the time when allocated to a train).

Around here transformer explosions are common. Every time a new ev comes in to the neighborhood ..."POP" ha ha ha

stupidest idea ever.

the future should be nuclear and hydrogen.
for now the world need to enjoy the cheap oil prices with 0 taxes for the next 50 years.

also where is the freedom of choice? they want to force people to buy expensive unreliable junk.

and they are doing the same mistake with solar and wind, absolute junk, they call them renewable energy, the real fair name should be unreliable energy.

Electric cars are now available with cobalt-free and nickel-free batteries.
https://www.technologyreview.com/2023/02/17/1068814/meet-the-new-batteries-unlocking-cheaper-electric-vehicles/

Various battery making companies are moving towards this technology because of the problem with cobalt mining and nickel mining.

So, no. electric vehicles are not a disaster, or a scam.
I hope they don't explode still, would be a shame to take a small trip and you'd end up in smithereens as well.
I remember seeing a prototype Tesla Roadster being shown off at the state fair and thinking it was pretty cool.

But it turns out Musk was bullshitting and exaggerating capabilities right from the start, and never stopped.
I've seen 1 burning electrical car on a boat with hundreds of other electrical cars is really a disaster xd

I wonder if electric cars have more potential for exploding in shootouts?

At least they could go out with bigger bangs.

Always remind these clean energy psychos just how destructive their cobalt mining is or how many birds their wind turbines kill per year
The pitfalls of clean energy are minuscule compared to the issues that arise from continuing the world's dependence on fossil fuels. Not to mention all the micro-plastics that are saturating the oceans, and our our food supply.

Big Oil's corporate propaganda is seductive because it allows people to:
1. continue to conspicuously consume with no regard for the consequences. their corporate propaganda serves to alleviate the mind from having to deal with difficult issues.
2. make fun of and put down any activists or people trying to raise awareness of the issue. Taking up Big Oil's talking points allows people a false mentality that makes them feel strong and in-control of their own lives, while putting down other people for caring about climate change.

climate change is real, and it's a real problem.
I have said it before and I will say it again, all sources of energy and electricity have dirty little secrets. This can include products designed to replace modes of transportation as well. This is on both the front end and back end. Cutting down hectares of forests that help produce oxygen and absorbs carbon dioxide as well as lower temperatures (isn't climate change about rising temperatures?) to build solar power plants just does not make sense.

And until an EV can drive across the US (3000 miles) with only 6 and a half stops (the number of stops to fill up my Silverado) for electricity, EVs just do not make sense.

driving across the US isn't very efficient when you can take the train
you know what isn't efficient? the US rail system. aside from a few roundabout routes, you're stuck taking the bus for a quarter of the trip. and don't even get me started on reliability.
Why not make everything electric? Electric planes, electric buses, electric boats, electric battle tanks, electric guns, electric baseball bats, electric food, and electric rocket ships.

Danger, danger! High voltage!

I think holding solar, wind and electric power to a purity standard higher than that of oil, gasoline power is heavily biased and not a helpful metric in understanding the issue of sustainable energy. And i think purity standards are a bad metric to begin with.

Although i havent heard of 'solar power plants' i have heard of solar panels being placed in desert areas. i havent heard of forests being chopped down to create solar plants either.

FYI:
a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle gets twice amount of distance than a gas powered vehicle. a fuel cell vehicle is more efficient (more distance) and doesn't have emissions.

And remember the Episode of the Simpsons with the Monorail Car?

They said it would be the future, & they brought the Monorail Car to Springfield,
only they tried to hide what happened to Shelby Ville, so that the Simpsons would
buy into the lies, & fake bull crap...

Homer almost ends up dying if it wasn't for an Anchor he created
from one of the leters he attached a rope to...

Only in real life, no anchor would save you...

As i've said myself?

I won't trust a Train, nor an Airplane Today if People begged me to get on one,
I'll trust my car over any of that going around, & my trust in the car would
require me to bash the car, & re-wire a bunch of things myself, or it ain't getting
driven, oO

Do you know where that hydrogen comes from?
Affordability is the disaster, just as young people can't afford homes.

EV green regulations just steal from the poor to subsidize the rich.

Unaffordable home prices prove the country is full.
What’s next? Banning coal and propane tanks?
