Seriously, who thought this was a good idea? Please don't let them breed and further their stupidity upon the human race.

There's nowhere to charge these stupid EVs (electric vehicles) and they have limited coverage and range. Especially if your mode of transport is a van, needed for work to carry tools for jobs or call-outs.

Oh yeah, they lie and say you'll save money, or the government will give you subsidies and grant if your employers trade in their diesel cars for them. They are so expensive, not even getting into the problems insurers are causing Tesla drivers.


This is like British Railway's Modernisation Plan (for those living in the America - was a total f**king disaster, they got rid of thousands of reliable steam locomotives to replace them with dozens of non-standard diesel and electric engines, most had unproven untested technologies that often broke down 40-60% of the time when allocated to a train).

its just too early to be converting everyone to ev, the tech needs time to learn and find better battery source

And it will every person who is climate aware will tell you if you just bought a new gas powered care drive it into the dirt before going EV. Thats better than selling it off and going EV right now. If you bought a new 2023 care and it runs well till 2080 keep driving that ♥♥♥♥♥ but we live in an era where companies use tactics like planned obsolescence so i doubt it will. But we got the right who just keeps voting to dereg these companies so it will keep happening.

Fun fact but it's the same thing with cars back in the 1900s. Cars didn't take over overnight. Horses back then were still the dominate form of transportation until 1915.

That said I agree that electric cars have a ways to go before they are as good as gasoline cars. For now hybrids are the way to go if you want something practical that is better for the environment. Eventually we will have to switch since the supply of fossil fuels is finite, but right now we need more research and development to improve battery technology. I've seen talk of potentially using sodium-ion batteries instead of lithium, which would have the potential of being way cheaper at the expense of more weight, but it isn't practical yet.
