So much for Unity
So with that information, what Unity is trying to do makes a lot of sense. And if they had any sense at all they wouldn't have hired him in the first place after what he did at EA. Because of him EA is still a joke to gamers today.
I've hated Unity since it came into being. It was basically the framework for all the asset flip garbage we've been exposed to for the past decade.
If they crash and burn, good riddance.

As I've said on the other thread, seek out an engine that actually lets you own your final product, like for example Godot:

Not that the gaming industry wasn't already a flaming ♥♥♥♥ pile these days but... y'know.
That's great if they're making a game... not so much for the ones already made.
It's no easy thing... and sometimes impossible... to port over a game from one engine to another
