PC vs Console

Trying to decide between upgradeing my PC, or getting the Xbox One. I am leaning towards the PC simply because I want to have a truely Next-Gen experience and there is 2 games that are on the One that I would get. The only reason that I want a One is because most of my friends are getting the One. (I really don't know why)
If I upgrade my PC specs will be as follows:
CPU: AMD FX-8350 4.0 HGz
Motherboard: ASUS M5A97 AM3+
GPU: EVGA GTX 770 Superclocked with ACX Cooling
16 GB DDR3 RAM
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 850G
1 TB HDD 7200 RPM
128 GB SSD
Windows 8.1 Pro (I prefer Windows 8 over Windows 7)
My current PC specs are as follows:
CPU: AMD FX-4600 3.8 GHz
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3
GPU: AMD Radeon 6670
8 GB of DDR3 RAM
PSU: Some random 300 watt PSU
1 TB HDD 7200 RPM
Windows 8.1 Pro

I generally say go with PC, bigger library, more power, and doesn't eventually turn into a netflix machine.

From what I've heard the Xbox One is absolute garbage. I'd put my money into upgrading my PC. Better graphics, mods, among other things.

Its a waste of money to upgrade a 3.8ghz amd chip to a 4ghz, yea double the cores or whateve,r but it doesn't matter in gaming.

PCs you can basically upgrade continually whereas with consoles once a new one is out the old one is basically a paper weight. Also, on PC you can play games across decades and consoles (for the most part) whereas with consoles you are limited to the years of a particular console's existence.
