Basketball is boring

So yeah i dont get it, people say soccer is boring but ide rather watch soccer than basketball, soccer i know that not alot of points are made but atleast when the team does score its amazing, In basketball, from the one or two games ive seen, the games are so long that each team scores like a combined total of 150-200 points, where is the exitment in that, running up and down a very small field just shooting back and forth, why do people get so exited when a player scores, if a team makes 100 points that means the ball was shot 50 times maybe less

Just a btw i dont watch sports at all other than the world cup and thats because my father is a hardcore soccer fan

Basketball was only slightly popular during the 90's in the UK, most of us probably can't name a team beyond the Chicago Bulls and the Clippers or Lakers.

Maybe people like basketball because it's fast, tall people... Can't find anything else though beside the way of scoring points.

Yeah i love playing basketball too but i remember in high school there was a section of the classroom where all these like 4 or 5 kids talked about was basketball, i just never understood the hype about it

I think Dark Ace is right, basketball is a very fluid and fast moving sport, so that might be a reason. Compared to baseball and (especially) American Football, those are very much "stop-and-go" sports.

Sports is something that depends on person to person. For me playing basketball is fun, watching it is boring. Soccer(football) to me is fun to watch and play, and American football is fun to watch but not to play.

Think of it as reverse soccer. Played with hands instead of feet, on a smaller court/field, with no dedicated goalie and faster pace due to things like shot clocks.

Basketball used to be good but now no one plays defense so it's just straight offense and see who can break 100 points, and there is no skill anymore because it's mostly just overpaid egotistical ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dunking and then acting like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

I can agree with you. Footballs the one that usually puts me to sleep.

I'd recommend Rugby. Specifically Rugby 7's which is smaller teams and shorter games. A lot of action, a lot of violence, and not so boring.
