Why are kids cheating pokemon nowadays?

In 4th grade, if we did all our homework and was good for the entire week we would get on the hall of fame, which let us do several things. One of these things were bring a DS and play it for an hour or so. One day i saw two kids battling. One kid had a shiny reshiram (level 100) and another kid had a shiny zoroark (level 100) And another time, I saw a kid that had a LEVEL 50 FREAKIN' GOLEM AT THE BEGINNING OF THE GAME IN X AND Y. He said he traded a chespin for it. I asked: "Why? starter pokemon are harder to get.." Then he said, "Are you kidding me? My friend can get chespins easily!" Seriously? This is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ atrocious. Is NOTHING sacred to the people under the age of 13? Do you really have to suck that much ♥♥♥♥ to have to use cheats to get level 100 shiny legendaries and brag about it? It's STUPID. (And how I know these people were cheating? "Can get chespins easily" Also, the kid with the reshiram was 9. 9 years old. And you tell me how a 9 year old has enough patience to train up a legendary to level 100. Trust me, it takes FOREVER.) I could probably whoop these kids' asses with EV trained ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but WHY. WHY WOULD YOU CHEAT A GAME LIKE THAT? ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ KIDS PLEASE GO PLAY ON AN EMULATOR. (kthxbye)

People have been cheating at Poke'mon since the GameBoy days, it's not exactly a recent thing.

yea people in the trades want like Shiny lvl 100 legendarys and stuff that you can only really cheat for.

Personally I find all turn based JRPGs to be grindy. I still enjoy them, but they really tick me off sometimes.
