Bruce Lee is cringe???
Bruh.

I'm watching a collection of his movies since yesterday - and the amount of weird random "ooooos" aaaayaaaaaa" sounds during fights is cringing me the hell out.

Oof.

Here's a compilation of the cringe:

Op you don't understand, that's the magic of Bruce Lee's style ' the art of fighting without fighting ' it can make you ' cringe ' so hard that you're incapacitated without him even laying a finger on you

Isn't chuck just a random dude who is famous for no reason other than as a meme?
Chuck Norris was a "random dude" to you? My guy do you even know what you're talking about at this point lol?
Alright so first of all, based off your profile i'm assuming you're French, so with that i'm just going to assume that there may be a few cultural differences at play here and why you probably don't see the "hype" around one guy as compared to those of us here in the west and therefore you aren't all-too familiar with how the US movie industry here works and how huge both Chuck and Bruce Lee are here.

Both are literal cultural Icons. Idk how French people view both actors but here in the US they definitely had a major impact on the action-film industry, martials arts in general, and on pop-culture. In regard to Bruce, he's not only considered to be one of the most legendary movie icons ever, but also one of the many pioneers of hybrid marital arts (aka modern MMA).
It's also important to note that even a lot of MMA fighters like Lyoto Machida, Conor Mcgregor, Dana White, etc not only spoke highly of him but even stated that he inspired most of them to pursue martial arts. So while there's nothing wrong with stating your own personal opinion, when it comes to someone who's made such a huge impact on both the entertainment industry and the martial arts world, and is highly respected in both areas to this day, definitely expect it to be a pretty unpopular one at that.
From my experience in France peoples tend to not care at all for Chuck Norris and care much more for Bruce Lee.

your comment seems strangely racist/francophobic...
i know who both guys are. they both have a cult following - kinda like nicolas cage. hes not a good actor. hes a meme. no doubt bruce lee had a crazy physique, introduced many people to martial arts - but all he did was performance arts - not real fighting like in a brawl. if he was still around and thrown into the octagon - you really think he would fare well??? the answer is no. and chuck norris is just....yeah man. just a guy - who like nick cage is famous because of memes - nothing else.

Firstly i'd like to sorry i'm sorry if my comment came off as such and that wasn't really my intent. Second, I highly suggest you do your research on this before making any judgements. Although Bruce Lee on record has never competed/participated in any point-fighting competitions (since that was really the only form of real competitions during his time alive), early in his life, during his teens, he has gotten into real brawls with bullies in Hong-Kong due to his family heritage and was also the boxing champion of his high school. Later in his life he'd open up his own martial arts/self defense schools. During this time he'd get into a fight with a chinese martial artist named Wong Jack-Man who was angry at Bruce Lee for teaching non-chinese martial arts. According to people who'd been there to see the fight, Bruce Lee began pulverizing him punches and even tackled him to the ground and began (through their words) "beat the back of his head in" until he gave up. According after this fight, Bruce began to question the effectiveness in his fighting skills and soon dropped most of the Kung-Fu he knew at the time in favor of more effective and tested styles. He would soon later on during his career begin to train and spar heavily with many great, professional, and even influential fighters such as Dan Inosanto, Chuck Norris, Gene Lebell, Joe Lewis, Robert Wall, and Jim Kelly. All of which competed in real competitions and all of them said Bruce Lee was "really good". According to Dan Inosanto, Lee stated to him that he didn't like point-fighting tournaments since he believed it was "unrealistic" and martial arts tournaments should be fought with full-contact rules like boxing. So he definitely had a grasp on how real fighting should be fought.

Joe Lewis (professional heavyweight kickboxer) trained under Bruce Lee and said that his style and technique improved greatly to the point where he went on to become not only the champion of his division but also one of the most influential kickboxers of his time. So yes, Bruce most likely had real-world experience in actual combat and studied and incorporated a lot western and eastern martial arts, mainly boxing, TKD, judo, wrestling, savate, fencing, and wing-chun (those are just a few). As far as how he'd fair well in a Octagon? With all things considered, the amount of heavy sparring, conditioning, and training he's done throughout his life, me and even a lot of UFC fighters such as Conor Mcgregor, Alexander Gustafsson, Dana White, Joe Rogan, and so, believe he would most likely fair pretty well and would be just as good as any UFC fighter. Conor Mcgregor even went as far as stating that he'd most likely be UFC champion. Sure he'll obviously take some loses here and there, (I believe he's good but no man is unbeatable) but without a doubt he'd probably be just as capable as any fighter in his weight-class. So the answer is most likely yes.
