What's difference between 4 , 6, 8 , 12 and 20 gauge?

What difference in 4,6,8,12, 20 gauge shotguns?

i do believe it's the gauge as in how much force it has like a fuel gauge or air pressure gauge

20 gauge are bean bags compared to the standard 12 gauge.
10 gauge is a roided up 12 gauge
anything higher are literal cannons and can rip apart your arm if shot incorrectly

i tried 12 and 410.
410 is just a toy not a real gun, very useless.
12 is great.

.410 is good to kill small animals. Like rabbits, chipmunk's etc.

it can kill small birds if they are very close like 10m, anything more distance than that i don't think its possible.
better to use 12 with birds shots.
