If you are watching modern day slop it doesn't matter what resolution you are watching it at, you are watching garbage.
Imagine all the time you spent explaining the optimum way to watch a dvd when its laughable now, now understand that as universal to all such trivial things.
Imagine watching CNN.... lol
What a journey !
Good memories
1024x768 will always have good place in my heart
Maybe next tattoo should be 1024x768 ?
Why would you even post that, if you missed the only thing that really matters?
I forgot.
Trainspotting level fixation on tech that rapidly goes obsolete is pointless, always has been.
Content is king, building the perfect set up to watch the modern retread of star wars, just a waste of time.
Looks horrible.
They should have bought a projector instead for the immersion. Projecting on the wall for fun and the novelty instead of having a 8K TV.
The worst part is that they just don't understand that they've gotten scammed by salesmen into buying an 8K TV -_-
Edit:
Can't wait for someone with a 16K TV to display 720p TV content. It's bound to happen at some point. And he will brag about the quality of the picture while I'm just standing there saying "uh.. yeah, that's really cool. Congrats man! "
and how many people use their 8+ core computers to compile code, or even know how to code...
It doesn't matter.
EDIT @Locke:
Have fun watching your wide format Star Wars cinema copy in in zoom mode on a 16:9 widescreen with next to no sound
That kind of **** is what this thread is all about.
Old people wasting their money and tech illiterate people were doing some crazy **** back then. Are you old enough to remember Locke ?
Or maybe they were smart in areas that mattered, like investing in property and stocks.
TV's are a waste of money period, its not an investment.
Cause they are biological not capable of seeying the difference. More then 90% of earth's population, can't see beyond 90fps. Offcourse you need one for the horizontal lines to keep up with the vertical lines on your screen. But you still don't see beyond 90fps.
