I went to a Halloween party dressed in drag.
I try to avoid the fancy affairs. Formality leads to anxiety leads to excess drinking leads to all the clothes coming off anyway. "where's my lampshade!?"

A fancy dress party is where you go dressed as anything you want...
The party I was referring to just happened to also fall on halloween
