Parent think i am a failure because i don't have a woman in my life

Whenever they bring it up, it ruins the mood and i'm out for an ease of mind.

My mum gets depressed. My dad thinks i'm a failure.

I think they're disgusted at me watching anime and using computer all night after work.

They bring up names of their friend's sons to me "hey you remember xyz you met 20 years ago?". ♥♥♥♥ off with that ♥♥♥♥. Good for them but i don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about other people.

I don't want to get married and i'm sick of them bringing it up.

As men, we still need help from time to time. I would have no issue if my son was working towards a goal in life like saving for a deposit to buy a house or running a business from home wit the intend of moving out some day. But if I had a son who's only goal was to eat, sleep and crap all day long without lifting a finger, he would be out the door.

I think many mothers hold back their children out of trying to protect them.

Try and move out. Being around people (including family and whatever 'loved ones') who don't share your same mindset and ideals will drain you energetically and generally make your life worse.

I kind of agree about making your son leave in that instance as long as he can survive...if youre one of those child abusers (like my dad) I'd just slap you around if you tried anything like that lmao

Well said. I don't want you lazing around feeling entitled. Life can be hard but it can be got. Go out there and try. But hey, if you want to stay home so you can save money on college tuition? No problem, son. Fell on bad times? No problem, son.

Personally, I don't think I would have to be in the situation in the first place. I would have course-corrected the situation years before.

I don't think settling down with a partner should be your priority in life. Finding a career/proper living situation and establishing healthy hobbies are way more important than sharing all your ♥♥♥♥ (as-is) with another person.

I've seen marriage/relationships either break or marginalize people who were otherwise full of potential. It's not for everyone.

Had to re-read OP's whole thing, ya I'd say your parents can literally shove off. Its one thing to speak on your childs worth ethic, its an entirely different matter to speak on your childs love life.

No parents, and I do mean NO PARENT should ever have a say on who their son or daughter falls in love with regardless of their reasons, they sound like the most loud and annoying basic Boomers that could ever exist Buggy because the amount of elderly I hear whine saying

"Oh when are you getting married and having grandkids!?"


How about, when I want to, if I want to, have kids, and if I do ever want to get married, I was not aware grandma that my love life effected you remotely.
