Eating for humans is a hassle..

Why humans need to eat various different kinds of foods to stay healthy?
And if you don't, you will suffer from Vitamin / Mineral / protein etc deficiency, and get sick.

Whereas, most animals eat only 1 or 2 kinds of food in their entire life.
Lions / tigers eat only meat. Cows eat grass. They too have the same set of organs inside their body as humans do. Why don't they suffer from deficiency?

Because humans are naturally weak. A weaker stomach, a weaker heart.

Giraffes for example have a heart 3x stronger to pump blood to the brain.
Nature predators have a stronger stomach to digest bones and raw meat.

In short we're the only animal capable of finding out what an "optimal diet" is. We're also adapted to be omnivores (though we do not have to choose to be) so we've spent countless aeons shovelling random crap into us compared to our nearest relatives.

We evolved into a big hassle. That's life. But hey, we got sapience and sentience with said hassle so it ain't too bad.
