While I'm not a huge Back 4 Blood fan, I'm certain there wasn't much of a hate crusade against it until he made his video.
Not only is GTA IV better than GTA V, but even GTA V is the worst GTA game, and I explain why:
In GTA IV, everything went most realistically: driving cars, gunplay, and the story, which was the most serious and strongest story in the whole franchise. When you shot at your enemies, they became wounded and injured. See the rest of the details on the YouTube search that I mentioned...
In GTA V, the story is weakest. There are no fun things like buying houses and a lot of good stuff like clubs like in previous games; the game is only filled with collectibles and side missions.
The driving system and gunplay became arcade compared to GTA IV. This time shooting at your enemies will kill them directly with no possible injury, and the only reason they did this was because they wanted to implement GTA Online, so gameplay elements needed to be arcade for the convenience of too many players playing inside a map and do naughty stuff.

Each GTA game has its own strengths, Personally my favorite ones are GTA IV and Vice City :
GTA 3 was really surprising back in the day because you didn't see too many open-world games back then.
GTA Vice City is the second-best story in the GTA series, plus it has a beautiful map. I haven't played GTA Vice City stories or Liberty City stories because of PS2's exclusive.
GTA SA was awesome in terms of having fun and exploring things on the map.
GTA IV had the most serious and darkest story with the most realistic gameplay features.
GTA V never had a good single-play section, and everything feels forgettable because they focused on the online section.
Though it had so many social comedy references, if you know what I mean, you will see so much parody stuff like the Fame or Shame show, Life Invader Social Media, making fun of movie production like the missions where you go to Vinewood and work with that movie director, Funny arguments and family feuds between Michael's family members, etc.
Also, there was a dialogue from Lester inside that tech company mission that he tells Michael, " Classic Vinewood ended 30 years ago. Now it's just superheroes, romantic comedies and remakes. None of which interest me. " Imagine that in 2013, superhero movies and remakes were not trending yet, so the predictions of story-writers were amazing.
But these are just side stories, and they don't mean the whole story is better than other GTA games.

One thing I'm really scared about is the GTA VI leaked videos. After 10 years of waiting, those GTA VI game-play footages didn't have too many differences with GTA V. Imagine waiting ten years to play a new GTA game, and you won't see too many improvements and differences...
Just like what happened to Final Fantasy 7
Come on, let's go bowling.
i mean, popularity aside, the cheating is wild in gtav.
if you are a normal player, you're just going to get strafed by someone who is noclipping with infinite rpg ammo lol.
Wait until you see Postal
